The largest differences between our stocked cabinet line and our semi-custom to fully custom line are really attention to detail and flexibility. Woodland uses Blum soft close hinges and Blum full extension soft close drawer glides which has been long known as the very best in the industry. Highland uses a lower quality but still effective version with no brand name.
In the instance above for a white paint, Woodland uses a catalyzed conversion enamel (one of the hardest and most durable finishes in the industry) applied in a 7-step process to achieve a multi-layer, highly durable finish and it is sanded in between every coat ensuring the most beautiful finish possible. Highland uses a catalyzed conversion varnish which is still durable but it is applied with much less hand finishing or attention to detail.
Woodland has endless modifications and we have the ability to create pretty much any cabinet in any dimension with any kind of door you can specify. This makes it much more flexible and we can truly get any cabinet you are looking for. The finishes, distressing, glazes, patina finishes, and so much more really set Woodland apart however all of this comes with a good size price tag.
In homes above 1.5 million, we typically do Highland in the bathrooms, wet bar, and other areas and we do Woodland in the kitchen. It is a way to not break the bank completely and ensure that the most publicly used area in the home has the highest quality available while the bathrooms and other areas in the house still have higher quality but at a dramatically lower price tag.
